Sorry when I get excitited about something I have to tell the whole word. I was up half the night watching Derren Brown’s (hypnotist, illusionist etc) videos on youtube. They are really quite amazing and just shows that are minds really are more complex than we might imagine.

and last but not least I would highly recommend watching these 8 videos, if you are skeptical about psychics, evangelists etc this shows how easy it is to be swayed to believe

Wow! It’s like graphic designers/llustrators are getting into scrapping.

This is a really cool little site and I feel quite unique to scrapbooking and it’s run by a guy! How cool is that

and look it all the toys on his flicker page! I luve toys. My collection isn’t as extensive, but boy  I would like some of those toys.

I was just looking through my old external and opened up this old sketch of mine. I rather like it. Just reminded me what I enjoy in life and that’s working with children. I have a feeling this drawing represents me a bit too, although not skinny like that Just a shy kind of girl, maybe a bit lost and that likes the simple things in life like balloons, or maybe the balloon represents me wanting to fly away. I obviously have a thing for balloons and feathers. I remember I bumped into a boy from school once and he said ” I remember you, you used to talk to trees on your way home”. Ah those were the days

Don’t forget about the scrappity challenge

Thought I would post something different today, an animation put together by me. It was selected to go into a children’s animation festival in Australia. I hope you enjoy it. This is rotoscoped so, the little girl is my cousin and her mother walking. The lady at the end is my gradmother. So it’s nice to have the connection with my family. Enjoy!

Agggrrrhhh! I just had to scrap something about how I feel. Old company that I freelanced for once, wants me to give them an old file of a design I created. They shouldn’t be asking me, but they don’t care. What irks me is they would insist on charging their client for the file transfer! Yet with me because they think I am a pushover they just ask me to hand it over.

Can you tell I like my little birdie? Ha ha!

So here they are:
1. I was brought up as a Jehovah’s Witness (atheist now)
2. I’m a bad diet buddy too
3. I’m very very messy. Like I’m talking really messy that it spills over into my car!!!
4. I was told the otherday that I have a gentle soul and I kind of agree (not that it does me any good! I need to be EVIL!)
5. I don’t listen to music that often
6. I never read novels
7. I pretty much failed year 12 and I told no one

I’ve been wanting to explain how Scrappity came about. I posted in a thread on DST and thought hey why don’t post it here too! ROLF!

I actually set-up Scrappity the site to get some aussie scrappers together(who I knew from a forum, unrelated to scrapping) that were quite new to scrapbooking and wanted a place to share their ideas. I’m quite technical and had a spare vbulletin forum that was sitting there collecting dust so I said “why don’t you share your layouts on a forum” and then Scrappity came about! I actually wasn’t into scrapping initially, just helping out some friends, but now I really enjoy it. I’m not a traditional scrapper I suppose, but it’s helped improve my photoshop skills dramatically (my DST gallery). I am actually a web designer by trade. So for those who wonder why I don’t have many photos in my layouts, you might understand why - he he! Also I don’t have any kids, which I suppose is the main reason for people to scrap. However, I still get something out of designing layouts, even if they are not the traditional scraps

Anyway, I now have become really goods friends with a gorgeous lady who helps me out on scraps, mamma jj. It’s been just a really nice journey becoming closer with her from setting up the forum, we bounce ideas off each other and she really believes in the site. I’ve been part of forums prior to this, but never really came close to calling someone online a “really good friend”. I have also have become closer to the girls that were on the other forum, who I probably would of never go to know, if it wasn’t for Scrappity. Flergs is also part of that other forum and she was really the one that introduced us ladies to the world of digital scrapbooking

Scrappity doesn’t sell any products, it’s literally a place to just share your ideas or show what you design etc. I’m really up for people to contribute to the site offer suggestion, to help it grow into a great place
